This vest reminds the Villagers of the lovely nests that their bird friends build every spring. Beautifully textured and snuggly soft, it is knit in a basketweave stitch from light brown baby alpaca yarn. The tummy pocket is perfect for carrying one’s mini tree frog dolly while out and about. Fastens at the back collar with a single yarn button. Handmade by our artisan partners in Peru.
The basketweave stitch gives it such a lovely texture, and the baby alpaca feels genuinely snuggly against my fingers. It fits our doll perfectly and the light brown color looks just like a real little nest.
My daughter hasn't taken this off her doll since it arrived — the baby alpaca is genuinely snuggly, not scratchy like some doll clothes we've bought. The little basketweave stitching makes it look handmade, and it fits her doll perfectly without slipping off.
The basketweave texture is what sold me, it actually looks hand-knit instead of printed like most doll clothes. My daughter's doll wears it constantly and it hasn't pilled or stretched out yet.
